This is a basic turning (tenkan) exercise from the martial art Aikido, often done as a sort of warm-up at the beginning of practice. This diagram is based on a style I learned in David Kaplan's classes. Any errors here are my own!
In case you're wondering, Nage is the person who does the Aikido technique, while Uke is the person who provides energy (momentum) in the form of an attack. During practice, people will pair up and switch off between the Nage and Uke roles.
In this case, the attack is a simple same-side grab and push (katatedori) and the technique is a simple turn to blend with the force of the push and redirect it harmlessly. But there are a lot of details in between to make it all actually work. :) This is one way of doing it.
